No. BizLaunch is a software platform that helps you prepare and submit your business registration documents. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. For complex legal questions, we recommend consulting a licensed lawyer.

Sole proprietorship registration typically takes 1–2 business days. Federal and Ontario incorporations typically take 3–5 business days after we receive your completed application form.

A sole proprietorship is the simplest structure — you and the business are the same legal entity, with no separation of liability. A corporation is a separate legal entity that provides limited liability protection, better tax planning options, and more credibility with investors and banks.

A federal corporation (under the Canada Business Corporations Act) lets you operate under the same name across all provinces and territories. An Ontario provincial corporation is faster and slightly cheaper, but is best suited for businesses operating primarily within Ontario.

For sole proprietorships, it's optional but recommended. For corporations, you should open a separate business bank account to maintain the separation between personal and corporate finances — this is important for legal and tax purposes.

A Business Number (BN) is a unique 9-digit number assigned by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to identify your business for tax purposes. It's required to file taxes, collect GST/HST, and handle payroll. BizLaunch includes BN registration with every incorporation.

BizLaunch offers a full refund of our platform fee (not the government registration fee) within 30 days if you're not satisfied with our service. Please contact us at support@bizlaunch.ca.
